Human Development Initiatives (HDI),a leading Not-for-profit Non-Governmental Organisation in Lagos State clocks 22 years of humanitarian support to the Society.The Organisation since establishment has continued to positively affect the lives of average Nigerians through several initiatives with partners across the six geo-political zones in Nigeria.
HDI has taken its pride of place as far as developmental work is concerned with focus in the following areas: legal and Psychosocial Counseling for women, widows, adolescents and children; Life-skills/Economic Empowerment for women especially widows, Health Right Information and Intervention, Law and policy reforms, Media and Public Education, Children’s rights, Education and Development, Research and Publication, Social Intervention Programmes, Governance and accountability projects.
The organisation in its bid to make reporting easier for the people recently  designed an app called “Voice Out” where people can report various issues bothering around Sexual harassment, Child trafficking, extortion in Schools, Domestic Violence, Monitoring of Universal Basic Education projects amongst others. The Executive Director, Olufunso Owasanoye who is an Educationist, Psychosocial Counsellor, Social worker, Advocate of women and child’s right, Mentor of teens and youths who have a strong passion for family Stability is of opinion that people shouldn’t live for themselves alone but for other people as well.
